Terms of Service
These conditions of sale are concluded on the one hand by the Tricot Company (hereinafter, “Tricot”) whose registered office is located at 100 Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud – 75011 Paris (France) and on the other hand by any natural or legal person seeking to make a purchase via the website of Tricot, (hereinafter “the buyer”). These conditions of sale are intended to establish the contractual relationship between Tricot and the Buyer and the conditions applicable to any purchase effected through the online shop of Tricot. The Tricot Company will be responsible for taking and delivering orders. Similarly, payments will be made to the Tricot Company. Any order taken in respect of a product appearing on the online shop on the website tricotparis.com implies that these conditions of sale have been read, understood and accepted. Tricot reserves the right to modify these general conditions of sale from time to time, having regard to changes in the law. Any modifications made shall become applicable when they are posted online.
2. SUBMISSION OF THE ORDER
Contractual information will be confirmed by e-mail to the address indicated by the buyer on the purchase order. The products for sale are those which appear in the catalogue published on the website of Tricot and which were subject to quality control. Every effort is made to show all the product characteristics by photographs and a product description prepared based on the information provided by the manufacturer. Tricot undertakes to make its best efforts to describe the products as accurately as possible. However, any errors or omissions in the description shall not entail the liability of Tricot. The products are offered for sale while stocks last. Stocks being limited in quantity, a notice will be placed on items that are out of stock. However, in the event of error concerning the availability of the article, Tricot undertakes to refund the buyer. Certain offers may be made for a short duration, subject to a specific advertisement. The photographs of the catalogue are as faithful a depiction as possible of the product but cannot be an exact depiction thereof, in particular as concerns colours.
On no account may an order be placed by professional salespersons either jointly or severally, for the purposes of their commercial activities, regardless of what means they use to market their products. The buyer recognizes and accepts that Tricot reserves the right to refuse an order manifestly placed by a professional salesperson, in light of the number of products ordered in a single order and of the number of independent orders placed for the same product, compared to the usual quantities ordered by the average consumer.
The prices displayed in the catalogue are in EUROS, before and after tax. The prices of orders not subject to VAT are displayed minus tax. Tricot reserves the right to change the prices of items at any time. Items will be invoiced based on the applicable prices at the time an order is confirmed. The price charged for items on sale is therefore the price indicated during the placing of the order. In this regard, the order must be paid for in full when it is placed. The prices displayed do not include transportation costs. Customs duties shall be borne by the buyer. The customer acknowledges and accepts that the prices of the items may vary between the website and shops, and that on no account may this difference in price be used to make a claim for a refund, either in whole or in part, for items purchased on the website or in shops.
4. CONFIRMATION OF THE ORDER
A buyer who wishes to purchase a product online must:
- confirm the basket containing her order after having verified the contents thereof;
- access her account by entering the relevant user name and password or register by creating an account and completing the identification form such that it contains all the requested contact information, after which she may then proceed to registration;
- provide or confirm the billing and delivery address;
- confirm her order and the payment for such order; and
- confirm the payment.
The confirmation of the order entails the full and complete acceptance of these general conditions of sale and the acknowledgement that they have been read and understood in their entirety. All the data provided and the recorded confirmation shall serve as proof of the transaction. The confirmation shall be equivalent to the signature and acceptance of the transactions made. Tricot shall communicate the following information in a first e-mail: the registration and confirmation of the order, the invoice and the delivery time for the order. Tricot shall communicate the following information in a second e-mail: the delivery number transmitted to the dispatcher, which allows the buyer to track the delivery.
5. PAYMENT & SECURITY
Tricot maintains its accounts at the CIC Bank.
Payments shall be secured by the PAYBOX payment system. Information concerning this system is available at http://www.paybox.fr. All information shared for the purpose of processing the payment is encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. These data cannot be detected, intercepted, or used by third parties. They are not stored in our information technology systems.
Payments shall be made by bank card (CB, Visa, MasterCard) or through Apple Pay.
The buyer’s account shall only be debited during the confirmation of payment for the order and during the validation of the amount pertaining to the product and the delivery charges.

Once the order is confirmed, the address provided by the buyer for receipt of the order can no longer be changed. Neither the dispatcher nor Tricot may be held liable if the order cannot be delivered on account of a mistake in the delivery address (post box addresses are not an accepted mode of delivery). If the recipient is absent, the postal employee will leave a notice of attempted delivery in the letterbox of the customer, notifyingher that she has 15 days to collect the parcel from the post office.

A free delivery by Colissimo International . At the address of your choice and against signature, in 2 to 4 days. You will receive a tracking number, and email notifications to keep you informed about the status of the delivery. If the recipient is absent, the postal employee will leave a notice of attempted delivery in the letterbox of the customer, notifying her that she has 15 days to collect the parcel from the post office.
The Buyer may track the delivery at any time on the websites of La Poste or UPS using the tracking number previously provided in the e-mail notifying dispatch of the parcel. In case of a delay in delivery longer than 7 working days after the date indicated upon the placing of the order, the sales contract may be cancelled at the request of the buyer, who will receive a full refund. The amount of the delivery cost shall be indicated under the tab “basket” and is subject to the approval of the buyer prior to the validation of any order. All our dispatches to the European Union (Germany, Latvia, Austria, Lithuania, Belgium, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, The Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Romania, France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Ireland, Sweden and Italy) are plus tax depending of the Value Added Tax applicable in France. All our dispatches outside the European Union, including Switzerland, are before tax. The taxes are due upon receipt of the parcel, according to the applicable laws in the destination country.
Any customs duties and levies shall be borne by the buyer.
Provided the products are still in their original packaging and have not been worn, washed, ironed, adjusted, dirtied, or removed from their cellophane wrapping, in the case of discs, the buyer may cancel the order within 30 working days of the date of delivery of the order.
For any returns, the buyer must send the product to the following address:
Products must be sent together with the duly completed return slip (contained in the delivered parcel).
If the product returned is damaged, Tricot will return it to the buyer, who must bear the delivery costs.
Upon receipt of the returned merchandise, the buyer will be informed by e-mail of the processing of his or her request. Tricot reserves the right to refuse returned items in the following cases:
- Returns outside the specified time frame, where the right of withdrawal has not been exercised within the time limit of 30 working days.
- Returns that are not consisted with the stipulations, given that products must be returned in their original packaging and state.
Tricot undertakes to refund the price of returned products within 30 days as from the date on which Tricot was informed of the buyer’s decision to withdraw. The buyer will receive a confirmation e-mail, and will be refunded in the full amount for the products returned. Provided that the whole original order is being sent back, the buyer will also be reimbursed for the delivery charges.
If you wish to exchange a product, you will have to request a refund and place a new order.
Tricot guarantees the conformity of the merchandise and therefore the buyer may make a request pursuant to the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in articles L.211-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
In case of non-conformity of a product sold, the buyer may choose between the repair and the replacement of the product, subject to the conditions stipulated in article L.211-9 of the French Consumer Code. If it is impossible to repair or replace the product, the buyer may receive a refund.
The buyer shall so inform Tricot by e-mail to email@example.com.
The buyer must return the defective product within 30 days as from the date of delivery of the order. Tricot will bear the costs relating to the return.
In offering goods for sale online, Tricot shall be bound only by an obligation of means: it may not be held liable for any damages arising from the use of the Internet, such as loss of data, hacking, virus, interruption or other unexpected problems.
As to the failure to perform or the inadequate performance of the contract, Tricot may divest itself of its responsibility be proving that it is ascribable either to the consumer or to the unforeseeable and irremediable act of a third party to the contract, or to a case of force majeure. Force majeure encompasses unavoidable circumstances not connected to the parties, despite all reasonable efforts to prevent them. Force majeure also encompasses the immobilisation of means of transport, earthquakes, fire, storms, floods, lightning strikes, the interruption of telecommunications network services, or difficulties inherent in telecommunications networks not linked to the parties.
The party affected by force majeure shall inform the other party within five working days following the date on which it became aware of the force majeure. Both parties shall then agree on the conditions for continuing the performance of the contract.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
No person may reproduce, exploit, disseminate or use for any purpose, even in part, the contents of the website, be they visual or audio. All simple or hypertext links are strictly prohibited except with the prior written agreement of Tricot.
Accordingly, any copying and use of the Tricot brand or any parasitism arising from the exploitation of the website shall be automatically prosecuted and sanctioned.
11. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to the French data protection law (the law on information, files and freedoms) of 6 January 1978, personal information concerning buyers may be automatically processed. Within the Tricot Company, access to such information may be granted to persons responsible for marketing, the sales service, customer relations and prospecting services, administrative services, logistics and information technology services and their superiors.
Laquintane reserves the right to collect information on buyers, including by the use of “cookies”.
Buyers may oppose the disclosure of their contact information by notification to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Similarly, users have a right of access and correction of their data, in accordance with the aforecited law. Laquintane undertakes to delete all the contact information and other information of the buyer upon first request by the buyer. The data collected may not be used for other commercial ends than those provided for in regard to the website and any other ends that may be subsequently sought by Tricot. Data used for commercial prospection may be stored for three months with effect from the end of the commercial relationship.
The buyer has a right of access, modification, correction and deletion of his or her data. To exercise this right, the buyer must send an e-mail to the following address: email@example.com
When the site is being browsed, information concerning the browsing may be recorded as “cookies” saved on the terminal of the person browsing (computer, tablet or smartphone).
These cookies are created for the purpose of facilitating browsing on the website and help to identify the browsers of customers when they log on to the website.

13. APPLICABLE LAW
These conditions of sale online are subject to French law.
In case of dispute, the courts of Paris shall have jurisdiction, regardless of multiple defendants and the involvement of third parties.
