Tricot was born from a choice: to manufacture in Italy. The country where cashmere is still worked as a craft, passed from one generation to the next.
That choice has two faces. A century-old family manufacture near Venice, where every piece is knitted on 3 yarns, linked stitch by stitch. A spinning mill in Florence, where the yarn is prepared, sorted, and checked.

The yarn is born in Florence. Before the Venetian manufacture, before the knitting, before the piece: a spinning mill whose expertise turns raw fiber into clean, even yarn, ready to be worked.

Facing Venice, our manufacture was founded by a family three generations ago; every Tricot piece is produced from the first yarn to the last finish. It is a territory — expertise built over decades, passed from generation to generation, in a textile industrial basin shaped across generations in Europe.
THREE-PLY KNITTING
Three-yarn knitting is an assembly technique that works three yarns at once to form the stitch. Slower, more demanding to set, it is less common in standard industrial production.
The result is a denser, more even structure, more resistant in wear than single knitting. The fibers are held more firmly together, which limits pilling and slows wear at friction areas. The knit keeps its volume, relief, and precision — season after season.
That is what gives Tricot pieces their characteristic hand: firm to the touch, soft in wear, holding its shape without rigidity.
THE GESTURE
Each stitch is built directly to its final shape — a technique called fully fashioned. Linking is the final step, and the longest: each stitch is joined by hand, one by one, to close the seams without sewing them. That is what gives the piece its clean drape, without bulk at the joins. And that is what makes repair possible: the same technique that built it can undo and remake every stitch.

Every piece is checked before leaving the manufacture. Dimensions are verified by hand, finishes inspected one by one. Production stays close, with measured automation. Series are short by choice — to keep control over every stage. Clear Fashion rates brands on four independent criteria: working conditions, animal welfare, health, environmental impact. Tricot scored 81/100.

Three materials, one shared standard. A mulesing-free wool, from respectful farming, soft and durable for everyday wear. A superior 140's wool, fine and dense, chosen for its hold and immediate comfort. A recycled cashmere, composed of 65% recycled fibers, certified GRS 4.0.
Each fiber is selected for its softness, quality, and lasting over time.
